Notes
- The show is a little windy throughout.
- Other than the wind, the show sounds great. Good music separation too. You can actually hear each individual instrument. Sometimes that can't be said...
there are non-canonical headers on all tracks which should not affect the audio quality of these when burnt to disc, but will show up as an error on shntool under the wav heading - if this really bothers you, you can STRIP the wav's with shntool before burning to cdr - Chris Ladner.

we got voluntarily bumped off our connecting flight in St. Louis for a free plane ticket and still made the show. I went with my friend DVT. we both worked on the trading floor at cboe in chicago. Anyway i used my free plane ticket to go attend my last ever show at shoreline a few weeks later. that show was awful but this one was good. I only really remember the Samson and that we had to sleep on a couch at the airport due to lack of funds... it was hot and we were hot but they let us get sprayed down somewhere by the floor and that made it a bit better.. i went to a lot of shows during this year and this was towards the end of my run i guess my second to last show as i was stuck in California for the last Chicago shows even though i technically lived in chicago at the time.

What can I say about it? We had a lot of fun tripping Vegas style. I went with my Brother Steve who was at my first show at the Uptown in 80. He was at my first show and my last. He saw about 5 shows and I saw 69. It was an ok show but apparent that Jerry was getting on... Unbroken Chain was highly anticipated but was only ok for me. Had they broken it out a few years earlier I think they would have been able to really do it right without sounding tired. Shortly after Jerry died I was thinking that it might just be time to move on in life. I mean for 15 years all of my extra time was dedicated to shows here and there. I felt kinda free to move on. But that lasted only for awhile and as time goes by and I think back to all of good times I had. I really miss the scene. The feeling after a really great show hanging in the parking lot at Alpine or Chief Hosa after Red Rocks... Telluride... Eugene...
The Uptown... Syracuse... So many great memories! Nothing else will ever come close to those magical times.

these shows, while fun as all get out, are marginally played, at best. This is probably the best night overall, of the three, but that's not saying a whole lot.
sigh.

music was good jerry looked as if he was having fun. very very hot day, security was great. up front a guard took my camera for me and shot some pics of mathews drummer with the boys, also some beautiful jerry shots, thanks....lots of people passing out from heat, i think jerry said something bout collecting the bodies, thats what theyve been doin fer 25 years:) fun with jerry...my last show glad i got one unbroken, thankful for the music, and good times.
highest rating because even half-ass grateful dead music(not my opinion) blows away any other band!

You knew once Jack Straw got going, that Jerry was going to have a good night. He was bouncing around the stage in shorts, laughing and animated, his gray hair blowing in the hot desert breeze. Listening to this show for the first time since being there is haunting. Las Vegas, the strip filled with tye-dies and the beer-line at the corner shopping market, shakedown street in the parking lot, and that Vegas dust all over everything. I too had the feeling this would be my last show, as it was. Listening to Jerry sing So Many Roads and The Days Between, watching him strain to hit the high notes on the big screen, he looked so tired, but put every ounce into the vocals. The show has some kind moments, with a fine Corrina >Drums>OuterSpace>Area 51>Spanish Jam. There is some great slide work by Bobby on Lil Red Rooster and Phil got in TWO songs as well, nice Unbroken Chain included. Yes, Vince's shrill voice wrecks some of the harmonies. Oh well. The end of the road, 25 years of shows. It all comes down to this night. Thanks for the memories.

After the afternoon opening with the Dave Matthews Band, Jack Straw exploded as a show opener. West LA Fadeaway was a tremendous follow up, and Tom Thumb and So Many Roads were just all-time. Nothing will ever compare to the ambience of Vegas as a Dead venue. Sound was phenomenal, Unbroken Chain was a second-set highlight.
I would give just about anything to re-live those moments today.

Well, I thought it was a pretty damn good show. My last, on my birthday. Great opening with my favorite, Jack Straw. And good renditions of the newer material; especially dug Jerry's ending of So Many Roads! Sheila says, " Liberty was fuckin' awesome."

It has been ten years gone now and it still hurts a little not having them around... Every may, I keep expecting to be getting ready for Vegas.
This was, sadly, the last time I saw the Dead.
It was a crazy day and very hot, I remember we were running late to just about every show that run. We came out from Colorado as was the tradition, but from the start things were a little wierd. I don't remember much about this show except that the Unbroken had this odd energy. (Thinking back, I may have known this would be my last show.) But the enitre run seemed a little off. Great show, strange. This sounds good... get it if you were there or are into Vegas Shows (I allwase thought of them as something outside the normal Dead tour).
ps-> Thanks Jer.

Hung over, tired and hot as hell did not make for a fun afternoon especilaly since the band did not play well at all. At least it was better than the abortion I witnessed on saturday. 2 stars I guess for the boys actually playing more than 6 songs in the first set. This was my only Unbroken chain and i can safely say that I think i could have gotten by in life had I not got one.

I spent the early part of the day playing video poker, drinking free Heinekens and watching the knicks lose to whoever. Then drove over and watched my final show after 18 years.
Had a fine day. Only race is on for me, only unbroken chain.

My last show and one of the best of the '95 tour. Really rocking after the two previous shows where so damn hot. I just remember how much I loved this show with friends, family and finally hearing Unbroken Chain and a good one at that!!!

The whole stadium on their feet dancing throughout!
Jerry appeared tired but considering...that's understandable.
Very memorable show. My last.
